Two weeks to go!

In two weeks time, we'll be in San Francisco. We'll be meeting up with Bush, two flavors of Punk, Bec and Grim. It will be the calm before the storm.

There are several things that we could be doing, such as:
  • Touring Alcatraz;
  • Getting lost in Muir Woods;
  • Running up hills and doing unnecessary plyo;
  • Passed out in our hotel from jetlag;
  • Sleazing it up in the Castro;
  • Etc.
So how's our tournament preparation going? Well, our uniforms arrived on Friday and were distributed on Saturday. It was very exciting. I spent the greater part of yesterday afternoon sewing my WFTDA (Women's Flat Track Derby Association) patches on. I am happy to report that I sewed them in the correct position, with the skater skating upright - this is very important, did not sew my uniform together and lost very little blood.

I have shorts. I have back-up shorts. Helmet covers are stored away. Back-up helmet covers too. The Shit Kit has been minimised and is ready to go. And I have discovered that all the derby stuff takes up half of my giant suitcase. Time to break out the ziplock bags.

Nine more working days.
