Arriving in Tucson: April 12th continued

We arrived in Tucson shortly after 7pm local time (Readers: have a shot every time I use the word 'local').

It was straight to the airport for some to pick up our minivans, while the rest of us settled into our rooms. Some of us had to change rooms due to plumbing issues - the hotel's, not ours - then we convened in Rocky and Berzerker's room for some reason or another. Once the vans returned, we headed over to the Courtyard Marriott to register for the tournament. There we ran into some of the Assassination City team (our first opponents) and had a quick meeting before spreading like wildfire. The team was fading fast and we had an early start in the morning.

A few of us went to the nearest supermarket and wandered the aisles like zombies. With a strict 15 minute time limit, most of us escaped with an assortment of fruit, vegies and snack bars. Everything was starting to be too difficult, such as getting in and out of the vans. A few of the team ended up at the hotel's onsite Denny's for the first of many meals. Peeled baby carrots would have to do for this tired pumpkin.
