As Fyfe was leaving us on Friday, it was time to get our party shoes on and head to Cowboys Dance Hall. If you're ever in San Antonio, this is a must. It also happened to be Ladies Night, meaning no cover charge and $2.50 basic spirits, domestic bottled beer and wine. and a mechanical bull.
The club is MASSIVE. It's located on the outskirts of town in a giant shed. And it is FUN. We were a little confused by the dance music at first but then the band (yes, live music) came on and the floor filled with Texas two-steppers and whatever else. So many handsome men and beautiful, beautiful women. And tiny short shorts. Those lift and separate shorts would not have been out of place here.
Maybe I'm easily pleased but bathroom attendants? Bartenders who remember your drinks - again, this place is HUGE. And there was line-dancing. It was a little Footloose-esque.
Fyfe rode the mechanical bull. I'll upload some video footage when we have more reliable internet. She also taught Maim how to dance. And I became victim to my hundredth drive by crush on this trip.
I love America.
