Thursday, April 19th: A Day in San Antonio

Holy crap, I slept for over 10 hours. I must have been tired.

Today was pretty cruisy, taking in the Riverwalk, lazying it up a treat by catching the Rio Taxi back, Dairy Queen, tormenting Fyfe as she had her teeth whitened and then finally finding a restaurant with multiple vegetarian options that did not require asking things to be left off to the side. And, our waitress not only knew about roller derby, she smashed our guacamole fresh at the table for us!

Fyfe is getting a lot of attention with her sailor hat but it is a little disconcerting how many people stare at us as we walk down the street. And wave. And say hello.

On the cruise/river taxi, we went into the only recreational lock in the world where the boat was locked in a, um, lock, water poured in and we were raised 9 feet to pass to the next level.

We stopped off at the oldest VFW (Post 76) in Texas for some icy cold beers before heading back into town.

Tonight, a cowboy bar with mechanical bull riding.
